Tasleem (Taz) Ismail B.Sc(Hons), D.Ch. received her Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and Health Science from the University of York Ontario in 2004 and graduated from the Michener Institute Chiropody Program in 2007. Her generous and giving nature has lead her to practice primarily at East End Community health centre with a focus on providing a full array of much needed chiropody services to the East York community.
She is a continuing education powerhouse with a list of specialized skills too lengthy to mention! Her ample toolbox includes: Foot Mobilisation Technique, Ross Fraser Nail Bracing, Active Release Technique and Dry Needling She provides mentorship to future foot health practitoners as a preceptor to nursing, nurse practitioner and chiropody residents during their clinical rotations.
Taz lives in the Beaches with her husband and fur baby Hudson. When not at work, you can find her conditioning herself through spinning, hiking, snowshoeing with Hudson or exploring the city.
Cynthia Li B.Sc(Hons), D.Ch. graduated from the University of Toronto in 2010, and shortly after obtained her diploma in Chiropody from the Michener Institute in 2013. She specialized in Foot Mobilization Technique in 2014 and has been fixing one foot after another ever since. She started her career in Ottawa before returning to her hometown of Toronto much to our advantage!
An avid world traveller, Cynthia is always up for adventure, and is a master in the kitchen (her macaroons are heavenly!) She lives in High Park with her husband Jeremy and adorable son.
Extremely passionate for practicing using a holistic approach, she enjoys putting smiles on everyone’s faces.
Nicole Tam B.Sc(Hons), D.Ch.
Nicole graduated from York University in 1998 with an honours bachelor degree in Chemistry. She then went on to pursue and graduated with a diploma in Chiropdy from the Michener Institute in 2001.
Nicole spent many years working in community health care settings such as, Centenary hospital, Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, and North York General Hospital before switching to private practice.
Throughout her past 20 years as a chiropodist, Nicole maintains her belief in providing excellent foot health and education to her patients. She combines enthusiasm, professionalism, and genuine care for her patients in her practice.
Aside from her role as a chiropodist, Nicole is also a mother to four energetic and often times lovable kids!
Elizabeth Bertin joined Bloor West Foot Clinic in 2015 as a Medical Receptionist. She brings 12 years of experience providing excellent client care. She has been trained to recognize a wide variety of foot issues and to assist in patient care whether it be in choosing proper footwear or compression stocking fitting.
The true heart and soul of Bloor West Foot Clinic, Elizabeth’s warm smile and a helpful attitude will make every visit a pleasure.
